Cookies policy
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are commonly used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and aggregate anonymous usage statistics.
2. Categories we use
Essential
Required for the platform to function — session cookies, CSRF tokens, security flags. These cannot be turned off; they do not store any personal data beyond what's needed for the session.
Functional
Remember your preferences (theme, language, last-viewed pair). Disabling these means you'll see defaults every visit. Optional but recommended.
Analytics
Aggregated, first-party analytics to understand which features are used and where users get stuck. We do not share analytics data with third-party ad networks. Off by default in EU/EEA jurisdictions; opt-in via the cookie banner.
Marketing
We do not use marketing cookies. There are no ad pixels, retargeting tags, or third-party tracking beacons on our site.
3. Controlling cookies
Your browser lets you block, delete or limit cookies on a per-site basis. Blocking essential cookies will break login. The cookie banner that appears on your first visit lets you toggle non-essential categories at any time via the small "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
4. Third-party cookies
We minimise third-party cookies. The exceptions are: Cloudflare (security, edge-cache), our payment processor during the deposit flow, and the embedded Google Fonts loader. None of these are used for advertising.
5. Retention
Session cookies are deleted when you close the browser. Persistent cookies expire between 30 days (preferences) and 12 months (analytics). You can clear them sooner via your browser settings.
6. Changes
If we change which cookies we use, we update this page and re-show the cookie banner. The "Last updated" date at the top tracks the latest change.
7. Questions
Email privacy@bitexasia.com with any cookie-related questions or to request a list of cookies set during your most recent session.
